About Us

In January 1941, Leon C. Osborn of upstate New York & Chisholm-Ryder Co. of Niagara Falls, N.Y. agreed on a working relationship whereby the Leon C. Osborn Co. would act as a manufacturer's representative to promote the sale of food processing machinery manufactured by Chisholm-Ryder. Mr. Osborn set up his company in Harlingen, Texas to begin selling equipment to the vegetable canning industry in Texas and surrounding states. Gradually, other food processing machinery and packaging machinery companies contracted with Leon C. Osborn Co. to represent them.

The company expanded as sales and clerical personnel were added. In 1946, Mr. Osborn's son, Don, joined the company in Harlingen. Branch offices were gradually located in Dallas and Houston, Texas & Arkansas. In 1971, Don's son, Dave, joined the firm in Harlingen. In 1972, he relocated to Houston as an area salesman. Today, Dave runs the company out of its headquarters in Houston.

Presently our territory covers Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Western Tennessee.
